Abstract:
The purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a non-aqueous electrolyte rechargeable battery that serves to improve the thermal stability of the lithium composite oxide while keeping degradation in the low-temperature characteristics of the battery under control. A non-aqueous electrolyte rechargeable battery involving one aspect of the present disclosure includes a cathode, an anode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The cathode includes a cathode current collector and a cathode laminate disposed on the cathode current collector. The cathode laminate includes a lithium composite oxide (30) composed of secondary particles (34) formed of aggregated primary particles (32). Letting the average particle diameter of the primary particles (32) be d and the standard deviation in the particle-size distribution be σ, among the secondary particles (34) primary particles (32a) having a particle diameter greater than d+6σ are present.
