An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a cavity configured to receive an aerosol-generating article including an aerosol-forming substrate; and an induction heating arrangement including an induction coil and a susceptor assembly, the susceptor assembly including a central susceptor arrangement arranged centrally within the cavity, and a peripheral susceptor arrangement arranged distanced from and around the central susceptor arrangement, and the central susceptor arrangement including at least two central susceptors.
