This present disclosure relates to a solid, particulate, urea ammonium sulphate-based composition, further comprising one or more alkaline or alkaline-forming inorganic or organic compounds that are able to interact with ammonium sulphate, a urease inhibitor of the type phosphoric triamide, and a cation source comprising a cation selected from the group consisting of Fe2+, Fe3+, Mn2+, Zn2+, Cu+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Ag+, Pt2+, Ru2+, Co3+ and Cr3+. The invention further relates to a method for the manufacture of a solid, particulate urea ammonium sulphate-based composition comprising urea, ammonium sulphate, a urease inhibitor of the type phosphoric triamide, in particular N-(n-butyl) thiophosphoric triamide (nBTPT), one or more alkaline or alkaline-forming inorganic or organic compounds and a cation source. The product is in particular suitable for use as a fertilizer.
