The non-transitory, computer-readable medium comprises machine-readable instructions that, when the program code is executed on a processor, causes the processor to pre-fetch to a processor cache, using data transfer offloading circuitry of the processor, data being accessed by an application program from a main memory of the computer system, and to execute the computer program using the pre-fetched data that is stored in the processor cache.
