The face coverings can further include a gasket comprising gasket material connected to a perimeter of the cover panel and configured to contact to a wearer's face. The pressure drop across a combination of the cover panel material and the filtration media is from 45% to 75% of the pressure drop across the gasket material, enabling filtration of airborne contaminants allowing for reduced retaining tension and improved comfort to the wearer.
