Implementations for controlling content to be presented on a public display device are described herein. In one example, a user device may select a display device of a plurality of public display devices. Upon identifying content on the user device that is to be presented on the display device, the user device may then determine, based on a control setting of the user device, that the content is permitted to be presented on the display device. Based on the determining that the content is permitted to be presented, the user device may transmit the content to the display device to be presented.
