    Abstract: Example techniques described herein relate to a software application that is configured to operate as an add-on software component to audio-playback software on a playback device of a media playback system. An example implementation may involve adding the multiple audio tracks to the playback queue, and before playing back a first audio track, enabling a first add-on component to audio-playback software. The first add-on component corresponds to a first remote source and enabling this component causes a first modification to an equalization of the playback device. The example implementation may also involve before playing back a second audio track, enabling a second add-on component to the audio-playback software. The second add-on component corresponds to the second remote source and enabling this component causes a second modification to the equalization. Enabling the second add-on component disables the first add-on component if enabled.

    Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a display device characterized by comprising: a microphone for receiving a user's voice; a communication unit for communicating with the outside; a display including a display area for outputting content; a motor for controlling the display to expose a portion of the display area to the outside; and a control unit for controlling the communication unit, the display, and the motor. The control unit: changes the display to one of a hidden view, a first partial view, a second partial view, or a full view; recognizes the received user's voice; changes the display to the first partial view or the second partial view and outputs the result of the voice recognition to the first partial view or the second partial view when the voice recognition is successful; and changes the display to the second partial view and outputs a virtual keyboard to the second partial view when the voice recognition fails, wherein the hidden view is a state in which the display area is not exposed to the outside, the first partial view is a state in which a first area of the display area is exposed to the outside, the second partial view is a state in which a second area of the display area is exposed to the outside, and the full view is a state in which the display area is maximally exposed to the outside.

    Abstract: An equipment-management device associated with at least one of multiple pieces of equipment in a building under management, the equipment-management device including a display-information generator, a touchscreen, and an action-control-information generator. The display-information generator generates display information on a management screen wherein icons are arranged, each of the icons including an outer frame and a first area set at one end along the major axis within the outer frame. The touchscreen displays the display information and receives an input of information relating to an operation performed on the management screen. Upon detecting that a slide operation performed on one of the icons of the management screen from the first area through a first slide-operation detecting line set inside the outer frame excluding the first area, the action-control-information generator generates action-control information that switches the power supply of the corresponding equipment on or off.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for control of application actions using a modification trigger to visually modify an electronic document are disclosed. A computing device, such as a mobile computing device having a touchscreen display, can display an electronic document having a first portion and a second portion. Initially upon displaying the electronic document, the computing device displays the first portion and the second portion may lie out of view, not displayed. A user can swipe along a scroll direction, causing the second portion to be displayed. The second portion can include or otherwise be associated with a modification trigger. Upon receiving a gesture on the second portion, the modification trigger performs actions, including, for example, subscribing to a series of electronic documents and minimizing the visual display of the electronic document.

    Abstract: A transcript of an audio conversation between multiple users (e.g., two users) is generated. The transcript is displayed in real time within a VR environment as the conversation takes place. A virtual selection tool is displayed within the VR environment to allow for a selection of different portions of the transcript. In addition, a virtual keyboard and or virtual panels with characters may be displayed and the virtual selection tool may be used to make selections from these displays as well. These selections are used to generate new text. The new text may form part of a user's notes of the conversation or an entry for a text field within the VR environment.
