A cutting tool cooling system including a cutting tool having an external cutting edge and an internal cavity with a hat receiving surface in heat exchange and fluid sealed relationship to the cutting edge, and a coolant in the cavity vaporizable at the cavity heat receiving surface for extracting heat therefrom and thereby cooling the tool cutting edge.
