A turntable arrangement with an automatic record changer spindle essentially comprising a primary support consisting of a plurality of supporting members radially outwardly projecting from the periphery of the spindle housing rather like the supporting struts of an umbrella and a secondary support consisting of a plurality of clamping members capable of radially outwardly projecting from the periphery of the spindle housing for supporting a stack of records mounted thereon except for the lowermost one of them which is supported by the supporting members. These primary and secondary supports are operated in response to movement of an inner hollow shaft which is slidably housed within the spindle housing and is effected by a pivotable operating element having a hook member.
