摘要： A holding portion includes at least three pressing members which are operable to press an inner peripheral of a hole formed on the medium. The pressing members are movable between first positions where the pressing members do not come in contact with the inner peripheral and second positions where the pressing members come in contact with and press the inner peripheral. Each of the pressing members is adapted to interlockingly move with each other when moving toward the first positions and to press the inner peripheral independently from the other members when positioning the second positions.

摘要： A stack of records is initially supported by opened lower claws on the spindle shaft of the record changer. A cam surface on the cam which operates the tone arm causes vertical movement of the spindle shaft which in turn causes upper spindle claws to open and support all but the lowermost record in the stack. Another cam surface on the cam causes reciprocating rotating movement of the spindle shaft which in turn causes retraction of the lower claws thereby permitting the lowermost record to drop onto the turntable.

摘要： A spindle adapter apparatus having two stop plates separated by a distance equal to the thickness of one record, each of said stop plates being movable back and forth between an extended position in which it can support one or more records and a retracted position in which records can be slid over it without interference. The location of the stop plates is controlled by an operative shaft which is axially movable among three axial positions and rotatably movable between two rotary positions. If the operative shaft is moved in an appropriate sequence by external means, the stop plates are caused to move in a manner permitting the following events in sequential order: (1) a stack of records is first supported entirely by the lower stop plate, the upper stop plate being in its retracted position, (2) the upper stop plate is then moved from its retracted to its extended position, assuming the support of all but the bottom record, (3) the lower stop plate is moved to its retracted position, permitting the bottom record to fall onto a turntable, and (4) the lower stop plate is moved to its extended position while the upper stop plate is moved to its retracted position, permitting the remaining records to drop from the position in which they had been supported by the upper stop plate to a position in which they are supported by the lower stop plate.

摘要： A turntable arrangement with an automatic record changer spindle essentially comprising a primary support consisting of a plurality of supporting members radially outwardly projecting from the periphery of the spindle housing rather like the supporting struts of an umbrella and a secondary support consisting of a plurality of clamping members capable of radially outwardly projecting from the periphery of the spindle housing for supporting a stack of records mounted thereon except for the lowermost one of them which is supported by the supporting members. These primary and secondary supports are operated in response to movement of an inner hollow shaft which is slidably housed within the spindle housing and is effected by a pivotable operating element having a hook member.

摘要： An automatic record player having a record changing mechanism which is driven by a driving means comprising a first gear wheel capable of driving engagement with the second gear wheel rotatable with the turntable, the first gear wheel having a gap in its teeth which during playing of a record lies adjacent the second gear wheel so that the first gear wheel remains stationary. A pawl member is pivotally mounted on the first gear wheel for pivotal movement into and out of engagement with a part associated with the second gear wheel. An operating member is movably mounted on the first gear wheel for engagement with the pawl member to move the pawl member about its pivotal axis. The operating member is engaged by an actuating means provided on the record player. At the end of the playing of the record the actuating means causes movement of the operating member to move the pawl member into its engaging position thus bring the first and second gear wheels into driving engagement.

摘要： A phonograph record player is provided wherein a turntable drive mechanism is mounted within a well formed in a supporting base, the turntable having a depending flange which nests in an annular well portion of greater depth. Mounted on the surface forming the bottom of the well is a drive means for effecting rotation of the turntable. The drive means includes motive means having a rotatable upright shaft member, the upper end of which terminates adjacent the underside of the turntable and in driving contact with a vertically adjustable rotary idler member which, in turn, is in driving contact with the depending flange formed on the turntable. The upright shaft member is supported by an interior bearing projecting axially downwardly from the lower end of the member into the motive means. A tone arm and activating means therefor are included and the system further includes automatic sensing means which controls the speed of the turntable and the place where the tone arm engages the record in dependence upon the type of record being played.

摘要： The subject invention provides means for automatic lowering onto a turntable, phonograph records, one at a time, from a stack of records which may contain records having a large variation in hole geometry including records of a thickness at the hole of less than the standard thickness heretofore in general use. The present invention will feed records of less than standard thickness with records of standard thickness. Thick and thin records are successfully dispensed indiscriminately by my invention. The invention will also operate satisfactorily where the configuration of the hole has been damaged as by wear.

摘要： An automatic record changer device of the type in which records yet to be played are supported by a plurality of record supporting members pivotally mounted at the upper portion of a spindle adapted to move up and down within a main spindle body and adapted to be withdrawn into the main spindle body as the spindle moves downwardly so that only the lowermost record may be dropped onto a turntable. 摘要： A phonograph record-playing mechanism having a pickup head supported for relative movement on a tone arm which remains fixed during record play in combination with selectively operable mechanism for moving the arm and head into and out of recordplaying position. A cam and lever system causes all of the necessary movements to rotate the arm into and away from recordplaying position as well as for tilting the head assembly into and away from record-playing position relative to the arm. A pause control lever serves to disengage the needle from a record so that a person can interrupt the playing of a record at one instant in time and then at a later time reengage the needle with the exact groove from which it was previously disengaged. A single pushbutton switch controls an electric circuit in a manner which initiates the playing of a record and also serves to control a reject cycle. The apparatus is usable for playing records of different diameters.
