A manually operated guide forms a sheet of heated pliable laminate about an adhesively coated 180.degree. rounded edge of a substrate, such as may be found on the front edge of a countertop. The guide is pivotally attached to a support member at an initial angle to guide the laminate along the major portion of the rounded edge and at a different angle to guide the laminate along the remaining portion to assure continuing progressive contact between the laminate and the rounded edge.
