Novel fungicidal active thiolane-2,4-dione-3-carboxamides of the formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl, cycloalkyl, optionally substituted aralkyl or optionally substituted aryl, andR.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently is hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, aralkyl or aryl.
