Also provided is a shift timing valve having a return spring and port, a throttle valve operator, an oil temperature sensor and a controller for operation the throttle valve operator so that the accumulator back pressure modulated by the throttle pressure is less than that provided when the oil temperature is under a predetermined value as compared to when the oil temperature sensed by the oil temperature sensor is greater than the predetermined value.
