Abstract: A hydrostatic transmission control system includes a controller that monitors inputs for shifting a transmission of a tractor to a different range gear; determines if an engine on the tractor is operating in a desired and acceptable shift range based on a sensed speed and a load of the engine, and determines if a hydrostatic transmission on the tractor is operating in a desired and acceptable shift range based on a sensed load and a speed of the hydrostatic transmission. If the controller determines the engine and the hydrostatic transmission are operating in the desired and acceptable shift range, the controller commands an oncoming clutch to ramp up and an off going clutch to ramp down, and synchronizes speeds of the engine and the hydrostatic transmission.

Abstract: A method for controlling a transmission of a vehicle includes: determining whether a controller receives an acceleration pedal off signal corresponding to a lift foot up (LFU) shift request signal from an acceleration pedal sensor; determining whether an output signal value of a brake pedal sensor detecting a position value of a brake pedal is less than a brake reference value when the acceleration pedal off signal is received; determining whether a gear shifting progressing rate of the transmission performing a LFU shift in response to the LFU shift request signal is less than a progressing rate reference value when an output signal value of the brake pedal sensor is equal to or greater than the brake reference value; and controlling the transmission to hold the LFU shift when the gear shifting progressing rate of the transmission is less than the progressing rate reference value.

The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift control circuit operates a shift actuator using a first opposing pulse command and a first actuating pulse command, and releases pressure with shift actuating and opposing volumes of the shift actuator upon determining a shift completion event.

Abstract: A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. An integrated actuator housing includes a single external power access for the shift actuator. A controller interprets controls the shift actuator with actuating and opposing pulses, and interprets a shaft displacement angle, determines if the transmission is in an imminent zero or zero torque region, and performs a transmission operation in response to the transmission in the imminent zero or zero torque region.

Abstract: An oil pressure learning method of an automatic transmission includes acquiring a state of a vehicle in a state where relational regulation data is stored, supplying oil to the automatic transmission such that the value of the oil pressure is set to an oil pressure command value, calculating, as a specific variable, a variable representing an amount in which a detected input rotation speed exceeds a target input rotation speed, or the like, calculating a reward in a manner in which it has a larger value when the specific variable satisfies a criterion than when it does not satisfy the criterion, updating the relational regulation data by inputting, to an update mapping, the reward and the oil pressure command value, and calculating a torque variable having a value that is increased as an amount of change in an input torque is increased.

Abstract: A transmission includes an input shaft that couples to a prime mover, twin countershafts and a main shaft having gears coupled thereon, an output shaft that selectively provides a torque output to a driveline, a first shift actuator that selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft. The transmission includes a second shift actuator that couples the main shaft to the output shaft with a selected reduction ratio, and a controller including a vehicle state circuit that interprets at least one vehicle operating condition, and a neutral enforcement circuit that provides a first neutral command to the first shift actuator and a second neutral command to the second shift actuator, in response to the at least one vehicle operating condition indicating that vehicle motion is not intended.
