The document processing apparatus includes a receiver for receiving the document; a link information extractor for extracting the link information from the document a display for displaying the document based on the link information extracted by the link information extractor; a selector for selecting the link information in the document; and a link operator controller for carrying out the transmission operation to another party, when the link information selected by the selector is the telephone number information.
