摘要： A document processing apparatus that automatically carries out a transmission operation at the time of a link selection, which selects a telephone number described in the link information without carrying out a useless operation. The link information is the additional information which is not actually displayed, like as the HTML. The document processing apparatus includes a receiver for receiving the document; a link information extractor for extracting the link information from the document a display for displaying the document based on the link information extracted by the link information extractor; a selector for selecting the link information in the document; and a link operator controller for carrying out the transmission operation to another party, when the link information selected by the selector is the telephone number information.

摘要： When downloading a Java™ application AP from a server 40, a scheme and a transmission port number used by server 40 when downloading Java™ application AP are stored in addition to a host name of server 40. Then, when the Java™ application AP accesses a resource on the Internet, the host name of a resource to be accessed, and a scheme and a destination port number are compared with the stored host name, scheme, and transmission port number. The network access is permitted only when the compared items agree with each other.

摘要： At a terminal where communication can take place via a network, ADF in which property information on data is stored is received, and based upon the communication systems (ordinary/SSL) which were used for receiving this ADF and the communication system which is used for receiving JAR in which the entity of the above mentioned data is stored, whether a communication pattern is allowable determined. JAR is received if the communication pattern is allowable, and JAR is not received if the communication pattern is not allowable for security reasons. In other words, data is obtained only when the communication pattern is allowable.
