The liquid ejecting device includes: a liquid ejecting head including a nozzle for ejecting a liquid; a liquid supply channel for supplying the liquid to the liquid ejecting head; a discharge channel for discharging a gas in the liquid supply channel; a gas permeable film disposed in a connecting portion between the liquid supply channel and the discharge channel, the gas permeable film partitioning the liquid supply channel and the discharge channel; and a suction unit connected to the discharge channel so as to suction the gas in the discharge channel, wherein the liquid supply channel includes a first liquid flow channel extending in an extending direction intersecting a horizontal direction, and wherein the gas permeable film defines a part of the first liquid flow channel extending in the extending direction.
