The diameter of the protective cover (2) is set smaller than that of the recording medium (1), an outer peripheral part (11) of the protective cover (2) comes into contact with a margin portion on the outer peripheral side of a recording area of the recording surface of the recording medium (1), and, in the area between the outer peripheral part (11) and an inner peripheral contact part (12) coming into contact with margin portion, a cover body (10) of the protective cover is separated from the recording surface of the recording medium (1).
