Sweep areas of radially separated inserts overlap in a ring-shaped overlapping zone by radially inner ends of root inserts being situated nearer the center axis than radially outer ends of the flank insert next inside. A part edge of the cutting edge, located between the straight main edge and one of the ends of the insert is shorter than the main edge and deviates from a straight reference line in the extension of the main edge at a deviation angle of at most 10°. Cutting edges of root inserts overlap cutting edges of flank inserts in a point of intersection situated between end points of the part edges.
