The solar cell includes a base substrate containing first impurities of a first conductive type and having a textured surface, an emitter layer that is positioned at the textured surface of the base substrate and contains second impurities of a second conductive type different from the first conductive type, and a front electrode electrically connected to the emitter layer. The front electrode collects carriers generated in the base substrate or the emitter layer. At least a portion of the front electrode transmits incident light from the outside.
