A camera shoe extension includes a support arm and a camera shoe attachment section attached to a rear end of the support arm. The support arm is curved into a circular arc shape such that the front end thereof is located higher than the rear end thereof. The camera shoe attachment section of the attachment unit is mounted on a shoe formed on the front end of the support arm. The camera shoe attachment section of the camera shoe extension is mounted on a camera shoe of a digital camera.
