The organic light emitting diode display includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a display panel driver configured to drive signal lines of the display panel, and a timing controller configured to divide one frame into a plurality of subframes, convert data of an input image into a bit pattern, map the bit pattern to the plurality of subframes, control an operation of the display panel driver, and adjust a writing speed for writing data and/or an erase speed for turning off pixels of the plurality of pixels during at least one compensation subframe of the plurality of subframes such that the write speed and the erase speed are different from each other.
