Abstract:
A mechanical structure for a reliable connection between a shell-type outer ring and a shaft of an uniform motion joint. A circular hole (4) is formed in an end wall of an outer ring (1) which is subjected to press forming, and a polygonal-shaped surface or a serration groove is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the hole (4). A projection (7) provided on an end of the shaft (5) is press fitted into the hole (4) to serve as a detent.
