Abstract:
A fuel filter (10) having on the upper surface of a filter case (11) thereof a return passage (25) into which a return fuel discharged from a pressure regulator is supplied. The return passage (25) is closed at a lower portion thereof and has a branch passage (26) provided continuously therewith. Return fuel supplied into the return passage (25) flows down into fuel liquid from the branch passage (26) along a side of the filter case (11). The electric charge on the surface of the filter case is reduced when return fuel flows down along the side of the filter case (11). In addition, the kinetic energy of return fuel is reduced by virtue of the energy absorption action in the return passage (25), the energy dispersion action in the branch passage (26) and the energy absorption action when return fuel flows down along the side of the filter case (11), whereby a noise caused when return fuel falls down into fuel liquid is reduced.

An optical connector ferrule by which the increase of the insertion loss which is caused by the repetition of the connection/disconnection of an optical connector is effectively suppressed. An optical connector ferrule (1) is plugged into a connection sleeve (SL), and a ferrule main body (11) of the ferrule (1) has a mating surface (16A) which mates with the sleeve (SL). Grooves (17) are formed in the mating surface (16A). The connection end (22A) of an optical fiber (22) is seen from the connection end surface (24) of the ferrule main part (21) of an optical connector ferrule (2) and a plurality of annular grooves (27) are formed concentrically in the connection end surface (24).

A toner for electrophotography having improved characteristics, is prepared by mixing carbon or by mixing carbon with a charge-control agent in a solvent. The charge-control agent and carbon are uniformly dispersed, and hence the charge-control agent composition exhibits excellent dispersiblility to resin. A toner containing this composition is free from charging-instability and scattering, and provides a clear developed image.
Abstract:
An oxide superconductor having the characteristics of two superconductors, i.e. a high critical temperature of RBa2Cu307 (wherein R represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of yttrium and lanthanide series elements) and a high-temperature stability of RBa2Cu4O8, which comprises RBa2Cu4O8 wherein 0.1 to 50 atomic % of R is replaced by calcium. It can be produced by various processes, among which the hot isostatic process for sintering the powdery starting materials is particularly effective. Although the Tc can be raised merely by applying this process, a more efficient production becomes possible by preventing the formation of (R1-xCax)Ba2Cu4O7 as an intermediate. The obtained superconductor can be applied in the production of wire material by virtue of the high critical temperature and high-temperature stability thereof.

A magnetic head is produced by forming nonlinear rails on the flying plane by etching and polishing the plane with abrasive cloth such as nonwoven polyester fabric in order to remove the redeposit forward during the etching of the magnetic head slider and to form minute chamfers on the plane. As a result, the redeposit is removed and the stability of magnetic head flying is improved.
