Abstract:
It is intended to provide sterol compositions which are superior in the effect of lowering cholesterol to marketed vegetable sterols containing beta -citosterol as the main component, fat compositions, foods containing the same, etc. Sterol compositions wherein the total sterol content amounts to 70% by weight or more and the content of DELTA 7 type sterol amounts to 13% by weight or more of the total sterol content; fat compositions wherein the total sterol content amounts to 1.0% by weight or more (preferably 1.5% by weight or more) and the content of DELTA 7 type sterol amounts to 13% by weight or more (preferably 25% by weight or more) of the total sterol content; and cholesterol-lowering agents or foods containing the above cholesterol compositions and the above fat compositions.

旨在提供在将胆固醇降低至含有β-赛醇固醇作为主要成分的市售植物甾醇的作用方面优异的固醇组合物，脂肪组合物，含有其的食品等。甾醇组合物，其中总固醇含量为70％ 以上，DELTA7型固醇含量为总甾醇含量的13重量％以上; 脂肪组合物，其中总固醇含量为1.0重量％以上（优选为1.5重量％以上），DELTA 7型固醇的含量为13重量％以上（优选为25重量％以上） 总固醇含量; 以及含有上述胆固醇组合物和上述脂肪组合物的降胆固醇药或食品。
