Abstract:
Preliminary bending of glass plate G by its dead load is performed by disposing glass plate G softened by heating on a shaping surface of frame member (34) before pressing the glass plate G between upper mold (58) and the frame member (34). The provided bend molding method comprises a step of regulating the extent of deformation of glass plate G by the preliminary bending with the use of given means for preliminary bending extent regulation (160, 170, 180, 190, 200) and a step of pressing the preliminarily bent glass plate G between the upper mold (58) and the frame member (34).
