It is intended to provide an absorbent article wherein the adhesiveness thereof to the excretion part or the like of a wearer has been improved to thereby prevent the leakage of an excretory substance such as menstrual blood. An absorbent article comprising the body of the absorbent article having at least a surface sheet part (2), which is liquid-permeable at least in a part thereof and located in one side in the direction thickness of the absorbent article, and a liquid-holding absorbent part, which is located in the other side of the surface sheet part (2) in the direction thickness as described above, and a band-shaped member (10) which is located in the above-described other side in the direction thickness of the body of the absorbent article along the longitudinal direction (LD) of the body of the absorbent article as described above, wherein one end side of the band-shaped member (10) in the longitudinal direction (LD) is bonded to the body of the absorbent article as described above.
