Abstract:
A method for fastening an object in a fiber-reinforced composite material (21), comprising the steps of arranging a hole (22) in the material (21) for receiving a device (10) having a body (11), an external thread (12) extending from said body (11) and an axial bore (14) with an internal thread (15), wherein the diameter of the hole (22) is arranged larger than the diameter of the body (11) to form a gap (23) between the material (21) in the hole (22) and the body (11) when the device (10) is inserted in the hole (22), applying an adhesive (26) on the external thread (12) of the device (10) and/or on the material (21) in the hole (22), screwing the device (10) into the hole (22), so that the external thread (12) of the device (10) engages the material (21) and the adhesive (26) fills the gap (23) between the material (21) in the hole (22) and the body (11), screwing a screw having an external thread into the bore (14), so that the external thread of the screw engages the internal thread (15) of the device (10) to fasten the screw, and engaging the screw with the object to be fastened to fasten the object to the material (21). The invention is also related to a device for fastening an object in a fiber- reinforced composite material.
