A polymer article, an ink composition, a method for selectively metalizing a polymer article and a method for selectively metalizing an insulating substrate are provided. The polymer article comprises a polymer matrix and a metallic compound dispersed in the polymer matrix. The metallic compound is a compound represented by formula (I).
