A system and method for image display on vehicle interior component is disclosed. The system and method is configured to display objects obstructed to the field of view of the operator of the vehicle on a display panel; the objects may be visible to the operator viewing the display panel in a consistent scale/form with objects visible to the operator through the windshield and side windows of the vehicle. The system may be configured to obtain an image from a remote/separate camera and transform/map to a display image on a display panel to provide a more accurate representation of size/scale of objects for the operator/driver viewpoint (e.g. a simulated "invisible" pillar effect).
