The device (7) comprises a first guiding member (13) which is pivotable about a first pivot axis (23) and configured to, when the sorting device (7) is situated in a first sorting position, guide containers (16) in a first sorting direction, a second guiding member (15) which is pivotable about a second pivot axis (27), a rotatable drive member (17), a first cam mechanism (31, 33, 51,) interconnecting the rotatable drive member (17) with the first guiding member (13), and a second cam mechanism (37, 39, 53) interconnecting the rotatable drive member (17) with the second guiding member (15), wherein the device (7) is configured to, upon rotation of the drive member (17), be actuated between said first sorting position and a second sorting position.
