摘要： Electronic devices (10) may be provided with components such as displays (14) and cameras. A display (14) may be mounted in a housing (12). The housing (12) may have a sidewall (12W). A bent portion of the display (14) may be embedded in epoxy (20) that is separated from the sidewall (12W) by an air gap (22). Adhesive (24) may attach the epoxy to the housing. A metal support (26) that is chemically bonded to the epoxy (20) may be welded to metal structures such as camera brackets and other metal supports. The housing (12) may have a glass layer that forms a rear wall (12R). The glass layer may have a protruding portion (12RP) that forms a glass plateau with openings through which cameras operate. A camera (54) may have a protruding portion that is received within one of the glass plateau openings. The protruding portion (12RP) may extend into a metal camera trim (52) in one of the openings that is attached to the glass plateau.

The portable electronic device may further include a display at least partially within the housing, a front cover (402) positioned in the opening in the housing and over the display, the front cover defining a front surface (432), a peripheral side surface (436) extending from the front surface (432) and at least partially surrounded by the wall (407) of the housing, and a notch (406) that, together with a portion of the wall of the housing, defines an acoustic port (401) of the portable electronic device. The electronic device (400) may further include an acoustic port cover (405) positioned at least partially in the acoustic port (401) and a speaker at least partially within the housing (404) and configured to direct sound through the acoustic port cover (405).

The housing may include a first housing component including a cladding portion formed from a first metal and defining a first portion of a side exterior surface of the mobile phone, and a core portion coupled to the cladding portion, the core portion defining a portion of an interior surface of the mobile phone and formed from a second metal different from the first metal, a second housing component defining a second portion of the side exterior surface of the mobile phone, and a joint structure coupled to the first housing component and the second housing component and defining a third portion of the side exterior surface of the mobile phone between the first portion of the side exterior surface and the second portion of the side exterior surface. The cladding portion may be bonded directly to the core portion.
