摘要： Processing communications data for communications transmitted via a communications network. The communications data is processed on behalf of a user of the communications network. Communications data for communications is stored as a plurality of records in a database by creating a plurality of files in a file system. Each of the plurality of files is stored within a directory of the file system and each file has a file name when stored within the directory. Communications data including an alphanumeric character string to be stored as a record in said database on behalf of the user is received. A file name including data indicative of at least part of said alphanumeric character string is generated. The record is stored by creating a file, having the generated filed name,within a directory of the file system.
