摘要:
The invention relates to an element in which information can be written or read by means of laser light. The element comprises an anti-reflex coating. The anti-reflec coating is built-up of a reflecting layer, a transparent layer and an absorbing layer. According to the invention the transparent layer comprises an organic compound having a coefficient of thermal conductivity at room temperature of less than 0.7 W / mK.

摘要:
An element comprising an assembly of two parallel substrate plates (9, 10) made from a transparent synthetic resin and each bearing on their facing sides a recording layer (11,12) which comprises a guide track in the form of a spiral-like groove, and a foil (19) of synthetic resin which with both major surfaces engages or substantially engages the ridges (15, 16) of the recording layers present between the groove turns.
摘要:
Optical recording disk which comprises a disk-shaped substrate plate which on at least one side has an amorphous recording layer, in which the substrate on the side of the recording layer comprises surface discontinuities having diametrical dimensions from 30-300 nm and a level difference with the substrate surface from 8 to 80 nm and in which the recording layer has a maximum thickness of 50 nm. By exposure to laser light modulated in accordance with the information, very small holes (bits) can be formed in the recording layer while using small amounts of laser light energy. For example, the surface of the substrate is roughened or provided with scratches. The substrate may also have a separate coating layer comprising the discontinuities, for example, an inhomogeneous vapour-deposited layer, a coarse granular layer of a dye or a light-cured lacquer layerwhich is roughened or provided with scratches.

The invention relates to an optical recording element (22) in which information can be recorded and read by means of laser light The element comprises a circular substrate plate (17) which is manufactured, for example, from a transparent synthetic resin and has a diameter from 5-50 cm and which is provided on at least one side with a recording layer (21) consisting entirely or substantially entirely of a compound of phtalocyanine with a metal, metal oxide or metal halide. A very suitable recording layer is a layer of vapour-deposited vanadylphtalocyanine in a maximum thickness of 200 nm. A metal layer of, for example, tellurium may be provided between the substrate and the recording layer or on the side of the recording layer remote from the substrate. The element may also comprise an optically readable servo track (18). Upon recording information the element is exposed to pulsatory laser light pits and/orholes being formed in the recording layer. Analog recording is possible. The element can be read both in transmission and in reflection.
