    摘要: The present invention relates to photochromic fluorenopyrans with defined dibenzo[b,d]pyrano fused attachment in accordance with the general formulae (I) and (II) and to their use in polymers of all kinds, more particularly for ophthalmic purposes. The photochromic compounds of the invention are notable for two pronounced absorption bands of the open form in the visible wavelength range - that is, using dye molecules of this kind it is possible to replace two conventional photochromic dyes each with only one discrete absorption band. The compounds of the invention, moreover, combine a very long life with very high performance.

    摘要: The invention relates to specific photochromic h-annellated benzo[f]chromene derivatives and the use thereof in all types of plastic materials, particularly for ophthalmic purposes. The invention especially relates to photochromic compounds which are derived from benzo[f]chromene, turn less yellow than comparable compounds available in prior art, and have maximum absorptions particularly in the long-wave range in the closed form while being very efficient in the open, colored form so as to be easily compatible with the indenonaphthopyrans widely used in phototropic lenses.
