Provided by the present invention is an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition having superior appearance characteristics (particularly decreased coloring and unevenness of the hue), and is accompanied by suppressed occurrence of yellowing, etc., in melt molding. An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) and a compound having an enediol structure (B), in which a molar ratio of the compound (B) to vinyl alcohol units of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) is 2.70 x 10 -9 or greater and 2.70 x 10 -5 or less.

The invention relates to a compound of the formula (I-1) wherein n is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 or 25, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R′1, R′2, R′3, R′4 and R′5 are each independently from each other H or C1-C8-alkyl. Compounds of the formula (I-1) or stabilizer mixtures containing compounds of the formula (I-1) are especially used for stabilization of polymers against degradation by oxidation, heat or light.

The invention relates to a method for producing polyurethane foams by reacting an isocyanate component with a component that is reactive to isocyanates and that comprises at least one polyether carbonate polyol, the reaction taking place in the presence of an amine antioxidant. The invention also relates to polyurethane foams produced according to the claimed method and to the use of said foams.

The plasticizers can be used for a variety of purposes, including food preparation, cosmetics, beverages and polymeric matrices. The plasticizers can be prepared by esterifying gallic acid, fulvic acid, or tannic acid.

By allowing a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer to undergo a reversed-phase suspension polymerization in the presence of a dispersion stabilizer containing a tall oil fatty acid ester, using a radical polymerization initiator in a hydrocarbon dispersion medium, water-absorbent resin particles achieving both satisfactory water-absorption ability and a state of particles having a moderate particle size and having a narrow particle size distribution are obtained. The tall oil fatty acid ester usable herein is usually at least one kind of ester selected from the group consisting of a sorbitol tall oil fatty acid ester, a sorbitan tall oil fatty acid ester and a polyethylene glycol tall oil fatty acid ester.

Provided is a rubber composition capable of preventing discoloration due to an amine-based antiaging agent and wax without deteriorating the ozone resistance not only in cases where the rubber composition is used in side wall portions of tires but also in cases where the rubber composition is used in tread portions of tires. The rubber composition comprises at least one rubber component selected from a dienic synthetic rubber and a natural rubber and, as incorporated therein, at least one nonionic surfactant selected fro specific compounds.
