摘要： An authentication method is provided that is based on a reference object, such as an authentication label attached to an optical disc. The authentication label has a three-dimensional distribution of particles. For the purposes of authentication it is determined whether there is in fact a three-dimensional particle distribution. Next a two-dimensional data acquisition step is performed for the purpose of authentication. This method is particularly useful for copy protection.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for determining the authenticity of an object, the method comprising the step of:

providing anthentication code,
determining the positions of particles being distributed in an object,
encoding of the positions to provide a check-code,
using the check-code and the authentication-code to determine the authenticity of the object.
A generator polynomial, a step of determining if the particles are distributed in a three-dimensional pattern, or photodetectors with different angles, can be used.

摘要： An eye and machine readable medical data, identification and health insurance card (10) provides two "leaves" (12, 14), each of which has two faces (18, 20, 22, 24) upon which data may appear. The leaves (12,14), which are card-like members, are interconnected by a self-hinge (16), and may be folded with respect to each other or made to lie flat. The data includes eye-readable material (28, 30, 32, 34) on the card (10) as well as on a microfilm strip (36) associated with the card, and also machine-readable indicia such as the bearer's medical history (38) including, if desired, an electrocardiogram (40).
