摘要: A method for the production of a tampon (32) formed of a blend of regenerated solid cellulosic viscose fibres, said blend including a first set of fibres having a first cross-sectional characteristic and a second set of fibres having a second cross-sectional characteristic, said first cross-sectional characteristic being different to said second cross-sectional characteristic which includes the improvement of forming said blend by forming a tow of viscose rayon fibres having the same blend ratio of first and second sets of fibres as is required in the tampon by spinning viscose dope through jet means (7) to form a plurality of filaments (9), the jet means having a plurality of dimensionally controlled holes pierced therein. In this way a plurality of different fibre cross-sectional shapes or sizes are simultaneously formed directly in a tow (10A) by spinning the viscose dope through the jet means having the required plurality of different shaped or sized holes pierced therein.

摘要: This invention relates to false twisted combined filament yarn consisting mainly of polyester multifilament yarn composed of not less than two kinds of false twisted filament yarn of different cross-sectional shapes at least one kind of filament yarn of which has a predetermined non-recess-carrying cross-sectional shape, and the remaining filament yarn of which has a predetermined recess-carrying cross-sectional shape, the filament yarn of such cross-sectional shapes being combined so that the yarn of respective cross-sectional shapes scatter; a method of manufacturing the same false twisted combined filament yarn; and a knitted or woven material using the same yarn. The present invention can provide false twisted combined filament yarn capable of producing a knitted or woven material having excellent draping characteristics and a dry feel owing to the additional twists, the number of which is smaller than those given to conventional false twisted yarn, given to the yarn according to the present invention, as well as a swollen appearance, a soft feel and lightness, i.e. a smooth and dry feel which are different from the hard and cool feel of conventional hard twist yarn of this kind, and, furthermore, a high water absorption factor; and a woven or knitted material having a high water absorption factor.

摘要: [Problem to be solved] Methods for producing a fiber blended yarn, and a woven fabric or a knit fabric that allow producing fiber-reinforced resin molded bodies having arbitrary shapes and excellent strength are provided.
[Solution] A method for producing a fiber blended yarn of the present invention is a method for producing a fiber blended yarn including at least a thermoplastic resin fiber and a reinforcing fiber, the method including the step of blending the thermoplastic resin fiber and the reinforcing fiber with an interlace method that uses a gas under the presence of a liquid. A fiber blended yarn of the invention is a fiber blended yarn including at least a thermoplastic resin fiber and a reinforcing fiber, the fiber blended yarn including at least two kinds of organic materials, and the at least two kinds of organic materials adhere to both the reinforcing fiber and the thermoplastic resin fiber. A method for producing a woven fabric or a knit fabric of the invention is a method for producing a woven fabric or a knit fabric including at least a thermoplastic resin and a reinforcing fiber, the method including weaving the reinforcing fiber that comprises a moisture ratio ranging from 0.1 to 5 mass %.

摘要: A carbon fiber strand obtained by collecting 20,000-30,000 carbon fibers each having, in the surface thereof, creases which are parallel to the fiber-axis direction. In an examination with a scanning probe microscope, the creases in the carbon fiber surface are apart from each other at a distance of 120-160 nm and have a depth of 12-23 nm, excluding 23 nm. The carbon fibers have an average fiber diameter of 4.5-6.5 µm, specific surface area of 0.9-2.3 m2/g, and density of 1.76 g/cm3 or higher. The carbon strand has a tensile strength of 5,900 MPa or higher and a tensile modulus of 300 GPa or higher. When wound on a bobbin at a tension of 9.8 N, the strand on the bobbin has a width of 5.5 mm or larger. When the carbon fiber strand is examined by a strand splitting evaluation method in which the strand is caused to run through three stainless-steel rods while applying a tension of 9.8 N thereto, no strand splitting is observed.

摘要: In a continuous heat-treating machine for synthetic fiber tows, this invention provides a method of maintaining a pressure which causes less leakage of a heat medium vapor and provides high stability in maintaining the pressure of a pressure chamber. An aspect ratio of an outlet seal portion of the pressure chamber is set to be smaller than that of an inlet seal portion of the pressure chamber. The method of the invention causes smaller damage to the fiber to be heat-treated, provides a small unit requirement of a heat medium vapor, and is excellent in operation stability and uniformity of heat-treatment.
