The embroidering head (4), laser cutting head (6) and the image acquisition device (8) are actuatable to be moved with respect to the work surface (3) by means of first, second and third movement means (10, 20, 30). In addition, the image acquisition device (8) is susceptible of detecting the position of at least one marker (9) applied on the sheet-like medium (S) in at least one first time instant (t1) and in a second time instant (t2), respectively before and after the execution of the embroidery of the figure (F) by the embroidering head (4). The apparatus also comprises an electronic calibration unit (400) configured for comparing the positions of the marker (9) acquired in the first and second time instant (t1, t2), determining the position variation sustained between the first and second time instants (t1, t2) with respect to a reference on the work surface (3) and driving the second movement means (20) to move the laser cutting head (6), collimating it with the position of the embroidered figure (F), obtained from the position variation of the marker (9) with respect to said reference. The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of a fabric with colored stereoscopic patterns which comprises providing a fabric having a man-made fiber layer and a natural fiber layer; analyzing the colors of the desired patterns to be printed through color separation, providing a printing board for each color, and printing the desired colored patterns on the natural fiber layer and printing an etching agent on an area outside the colored patterns on the natural fiber layer via the printing boards; and etching the area on the natural fiber layer that is printed with the etching agent, and then removing the etched area of the natural fiber layer without etching the man-made fiber layer, so as to form the colored stereoscopic patterns woven by the natural fibers on the man-made fiber layer.

The present invention provides a method for mechanically abrading fabric (5) which includes the steps of moving the side of the fabric to be abraded over an abrasive surface (7) at a controlled velocity and, simultaneously, selectively applying pressure to the side (17) of the fabric to be abraded so as to increase abrasion between the abrasive surface and the fabric in the region where pressure is applied relative to areas where pressure is not applied. An apparatus comprising means for carrying out the steps of the method is also provided. The method and apparatus of the invention are less environmentally-damaging than the prior art and can produce a treated fabric which displays predetermined wear characteristics.

The process herein described provides the weaving of a manufactured product consisting of an upper fabric (2) made of cotton or any other suitable material and a lower fabric (3) with weft yarns (3a) made of wool and warp yarns (3b) interlaced with the weft yarns (2a) of the upper fabric (2). The weaving operation is followed by a printing step carried out on the upper fabric (2) of the manufactured product and by one or more teaseling steps on the lower fabric (3). Subsequent to each teaseling step there is a dimensional stabilization step of the manufactured product accomplished by a combined action of moistening, heating and tensioning the product, tensioning lasting till the end of the moistening and heating steps. A napping operation is also carried out together with the last teaseling step. By said process a blanket is obtained which comprises an upper fabric (2) with weft yarns (2a) interlaced with the warp yarns (3b) of a lower fabric (3). The lower fabric (3) has a teaseled and napped visible surface (6) and the upper fabric (2) a printed visible surface (7).
