摘要： The firearm (10) fire projectiles (22 22A) by ignition of a separate propellant cartridge (24) disposed therebehind. The firearm comprises a body including a receiver (12), a barrel (14) connected to the receiver, and a firing chamber (17) communicating with a bore of the barrel. A bolt (20) is slidably mounted in the body and includes two pockets (26,28) for receiving the projectile (22) and the cartridge (24) and for advancing them to an armed position within the firing chamber (17). In order to increase the safety of the firearm in use and of the manufacture and storage of the cartridge the primer charge (66) for igniting the cartridge (24) is disposed within a metal casing (48) within the projectile (22 22A). A portion (32) of the bolt (20) is arranged to ignite the primer charge (66) when the projectile reaches the armed position.

摘要： A semi-automatic pistol of the type which has a bolt (19) which is driven aft by gases as a result of a fired bullet. It drives aft and ahead of a striker assembly (12). The latter includes a plate (15) and a striker element (16) with a striker pin (16t) supported on the plate (15) toward the bolt (19).
A hollow cylindrical sleeve (32) with a closed bottom (32f) extends from a hole in the plate (15) in the bolt direction. A substantially stationary aft plate (30) supports a post (20) on which one end of a striker assembly return spring (22) is supported. 摘要： A self-loading firearm for firing rubber bullets and the like has an actuating mechanism comprising a toggle linkage (13, 17) which is straightened on operation of the trigger (6) against its spring bias. Initial straightening of the toggle linkage (13, 17) moves the breech block (15) forward to locate a round of ammunition in a short socket (83) at the chamber end of the barrel (1). As the toggle linkage (13, 17) moves over centre it locks the breech block (15) forward and displaces a sear (29) to release the firing pin (20). The round is fired with its case virtually unsupported. On release of the trigger (6) the toggle mechanism (13, 14, 16, 17, 18) is bent so withdrawing the breech block (15) and the spent round which is automatically ejected. The firing pin (20) is simultaneously re-cocked. Rotary (2) and vertical stacking rechargeable magazines are described, from which a fresh round is automatically fed to the breech on ejection of a spent round.

It does not rely on the presence or good condition of any separate parts, but instead coordinates the cam-actuated rotary operation of the locking lugs with relative longitudinal displacements between the bolt and bolt carrier, to cause the latter to block an enlarged abutment formed on the firing pin whenever the bolt is unlocked.
