The invention concerns an operating device comprising an elevator door (2) folding around a vertical axis during its opening or closing movement. The invention is characterised by the following three characteristics: a) the vertical axis (4, 6) constitutes also the dragging element of the door (2) of the elevator cabin (1), b) the door (2) of the cabin (1) is constantly subject to a tractive force that tends to close it, c) the vertical axis (4, 6) comprises a motor with external rotor and internal stator. The invention allows to realise elevator doors (2) of minimal overall dimension, since they lack the space to be allocated to the motor for dragging the door - as usually necessary -, of easy assembly and of optimal packing and transport conditions.

Das Antriebsmittel (11) kann eine Längsnut aufweisen, die einen Zugang der ersten Kontaktmittel (16) zu dem mindestens einen elektrisch leitenden Element ermöglicht. Elevator systems and methods are provided. The systems include an elevator car including an elevator car door interlock device operable to open and close elevator car doors and a plurality of landing doors located at landings, each landing door including a landing door interlock device operable to open and close a respective landing door. Each landing door interlock device is engageable by the elevator car door interlock device to operate the elevator doors. An elevator component inspection system having a detector to monitor the interlock devices obtains inspection data associated with the interlock devices. A control unit is configured to analyze the inspection data. The component inspection system captures images of the interlock devices using the detector, performs a database inquiry comparing the captured image against a database of interlock device states, and determines a state of the interlock devices.

A light receiver that receives light that is emitted from the light emitter and reflected by the illuminated surface is disposed on a second portion of the upper portion or the lower portion of the first doorway. A determination controlling portion determines presence or absence of an obstruction by detecting whether or not the light that is emitted from the light emitter and reflected by the illuminated surface is received by the light receiver.
