    摘要: The push device (2) comprises an annular rotary shoe (4), the internal periphery (15) of which is eccentric with respect to the external periphery (16) and is applied against the back of the rack which is thus pushed towards the teeth of the steering pinion. An anti-backlash mechanism comprises an internally toothed stationary outer ring (3) inside which the shoe (4) is rotatably mounted. The external periphery of the shoe is provided with catching means (17) that co-operate with the notches (6) of the ring (3), with spring means urging the shoe (4) relative to the ring (3). Thus, the catching means (17) co-operate successively with the notches (6) in order to maintain a small clearance between the rack and the pinion.

    摘要: The invention relates to a power steering system in which the set value for torque or force at the steering wheel is predetermined on the basis of various parameters and information so as to provide the most driving comfort in all conditions of driving the vehicle. The torque or force set value is predetermined on the basis of the sideways acceleration of the vehicle, the acceleration in turn being predetermined mainly from an estimate of the force exerted on the rack, and preferably also predetermined by other methods, with the estimate being weighted among all of the obtained values. Said method is particularly useful for vehicles provided with electrical power steering.
