    摘要: An efficient, precisely controlled apparatus for and method of heat fusing an image onto a receiver element, such as a slide transparency. The apparatus includes a light chamber which integrates and directs to an open end of the chamber light from an area light source which emits black body radiation at a given color temperature. A receiver element with an image to be fused is positioned adjacent to the open end of the chamber and the light source is turned and off by an electric timing and control circuit. The electric circuit precisely controls the color temperature of the light source. The circuit also electronically measures the temperature rise during fusing of the image to the receiver element then immediately turns off the light the instant complete fusing is accomplished. The method includes the steps of controlling the color temperature of the light source in accordance with optimum energy absorption by the image and by the surface of the receiver element, applying the light energy with a controlled intensity pattern to obtain highly uniform temperature rise over the area of the image including its edges, and measuring the rise in temperature produced by the light and turning the light source off as soon as a desired image fusing temperature at the surface of the receiver element is reached such that uniform fusing of the image without distortion of the receiver element is obtained.

    摘要: In an electronic still camera adapted for professional or amateur photography, a solid state thermo-electric cooler (10) rapidly cools a solid state image sensor (image) (8) in accordance with the ambient illumination or subject brigthness, so as to rapidly increase the sensitivity of the image (8) to the required level. Thus, the device may be used in place of a flash attachment (72) for still photography under low-light conditions. A microprocessor (30) controls the cooler (10) and determines optimum image temperature for a given set of subject brightness, shutter speed and aperture size values. These values are correlated to corresponding optimum image temperatures by a set of polynomials - or by a set of look tables - stored in a read only memory accessed by the microprocessor (30).

    摘要: A video still camera includes a common integrating circuit (46) for measuring light level in relation to both color balance and exposure control. An exposure photodiode (19) generates an exposure signal from a small sample of image light diverted from the optical section (10) of the camera. Broadly oriented red, green and blue photodiodes (34 a, b, c) generate three color balance signals corresponding to the color characteristics of the illuminant. The photodiodes (19; 34 a, b, c) are selectively multiplexed by a multiplexer (44) into the input of the integrating circuit for the measurements. In one embodiment, the exposure photodiode (19) remains connected to the integrating circuit (46) for exposure measurement. The color balance measurement is unaffected because the small photocurrent from the exposure photodiode is effectively swamped by the much larger color photocurrent from a multiplexed color photodiode.

    摘要: In a light-tight unloading and reloading station (3), a cassette-opening member (27) is pivotably mounted on a crank arm (31) which is driven for reciprocating movement by a shaft (10). At its free end the cassette-opening member (27) is guided in contact with entrainment sheets (29) which are resiliently guided on a door (5) of the unloading and reloading station (3). The cassette-opening member (27) comprises a wedge-shaped tip (33) which actuates a locking member (2b) of cassette (2), and it is provided with entrainment means (35) which have hook arms (35a) engaging below the cassette-cover portion (2a). Cams connected to the shaft (10) actuate door actuators (13, 14) and a roller support (15) with rollers (18). The door actuators (13 and 14 respectively) open and close respectively an entrance door (4) and an exit door (5) respectively in a functionally suitable alternation, the door actuator (14) having a pressure-relieving and closing function respectively which is associated with a locking device (2b, 2g) of cassette (2) via pressure pins (24) arranged on the exit door (5).
