摘要： An elastically stretchable disposable wearing article 1 has a front waist region 6, a rear waist region 7 and a crotch region 8. This wearing article 1 is formed with a first elastic zone 21, a second elastic zone 22 and third elastic zones 23 respectively exhibiting stretch stress adjusted to be decreased in this order. An elastically stretchable web is continuously fed in a machine direction, formed with pairs of slits in desired patterns so that two slits constituting each of the pairs may be symmetrically laid about a transversely middle zone of the web and then folded in a cross direction orthogonal to the machine direction so that the web may be alternately overlapped on itself about the transversely middle zone to form the wearing article 1.

摘要： An absorbent article has an anterior region, a posterior region and a central region interconnecting the anterior and posterior regions and extending longitudinally therebetween. An elastic component extends generally continuously along a path from the anterior region of the article through the central region to the posterior region thereof. The elastic component has an elastic tension which is substantially non-uniform along the path defined by the elastic component. In one method for making such an absorbent article, an elastic component is initially secured to the article along the path and defines a width thereof. At least a portion of the elastic component is then removed from the article to narrow the width of the path defined by the elastic component along at least a segment of the path to thereby provide an elastic tension gradient along the length of the path.

The compositions may be in the form of a sheet of film or a plurality of strands. Facing layers, such as nonwoven webs and/or films, can be self-adhered to one or both surfaces of the elastomeric adhesive composition to form a laminate. A method of making such compositions and laminates can be carried out using the conventional hot melt equipment.

The latter portion of the elastic member is disposed between the patterned sheet and the inner sheet and preferably is kept out of sight from the outside.

摘要： A method of manufacturing an elasticized composite material including a multiplicity of elastic strips for use in garments, particularly in disposable absorbent articles is disclosed. The method includes the steps of folding the first substrate around the mandrel to form a tube while moving the tube longitudinally at a first velocity, and simultaneously winding at least one elastic strip around an outer surface of the tube at a second velocity to form a helical path. The elastic strip can be joined to the outer surface of the tube along the helical path to form a first composite tube. The method further includes the step of folding a second substrate around the first composite tube to cover the elastic strip and to form a second composite tube, which then can be slit longitudinally to form a planar composite material. Finally, the planar composite material can be activated to form the elasticized composite material.

摘要： This invention pertains to a three-dimensional disposable garment (25) and subassemblies (10) of the garment (25). The garment (25) is designed to hold a primary absorbent sanitary pad. The garment (25) may have elasticized leg and waist openings (38, 44, 46,) and be stretchable about the hip and stomach regions of a user. The garment (25) provides backup protection to control egress of fluids that leak or seep around or through the primary sanitary pad. The garment (25) includes a secondary absorbent positioned in the crotch area (24) and extending into the body of the disposable garment (25), front and back, and preferably over the leg elastics (46, 48) to trap, inside the garment, leakage from the primary absorbent, and to prevent strike through onto e.g. outer clothing and bed linen. The garment blank and disposable garment, respectively, comprise first and second layers collectively extending from the front end through the crotch portion to the back end. The first and second layers collectively define an unsecured space displaced from the front end and displaced from the back end, the unsecured space being free from securement of the first and second layers to each other, the second section of the first elastic being disposed in the unsecured space.
