Zur Abdichtung zwischen der Ventilplatte (3) und dem Einsatz (2) ist ein durch einen Spannring (5) belasteter O-Ring (4) vorgesehen. Der Spannring (5) wird zusammen mit dem O-Ring (4) durch eine plastische Materialverformung des Einsatzes (2) in der vorgespannten Position gehalten. Die Dichtflächen der Abgabeventile (8, 9) sind mit einem elastischen Material beschichtet. Schliesslich weist die Ventilplatte (3) auf ihrer Unterseite einen im wesentlichen hohlzylindrisch ausgebildeten Fortsatz (17) auf, an dem ein die eine Kammer (10) bildender Behälter befestigt ist.     摘要: A valve mounting assembly for an aerosol container comprising a mounting cup and a sleeve gasket initially positioned on at least a substantial portion of the skirt of the mounting cup. The sleeve gasket has an axial height and radial thickness of from about 0.080 to 0.150 inches and from about 0.030 to 0.060 inches, respectively; said dimension being preferably from about 0.090 to 0.140 inches and from about 0.035 to 0.055 inches, respectively and said dimensions most preferably being from about 0.100 to 0.130 inches and from about 0.040 to 0.050 inches. In a method herein, the gasket is advanced onto the skirt of the mounting cup, and then advanced into the annular channel of the mounting cup and deformed about 90 DEG to form a gasket of dimensions equivalent to a cut gasket. The gasket may be cut from an extruded tube of gasket material, which can be cut to very precise longitudinal dimensions. When the gasket is turned about 90 DEG in the channel of the mounting cup, the gasket is turned into a shape approximately that of a cut gasket and the original axial dimension of the gasket becomes its radial thickness. In this way, a cut gasket shape can be achieved having precise inner and outer dimensions without requiring any milling of the gasket material, as has been previously required with extruded cut gaskets. Also, if desired, the gasket may be heated, or an adhesive may be used, to hold the gasket in the desired shape in the annular channel of the mounting cup.

    摘要: For a pressurized container (12) for dispensing a fluent material (20), the cover or lid (30) is domed, but is of sufficiently thin material that it might distort under elevated pressure in the container. To inhibit such distortion, one or both of the side walls of the cover recess, which is toward the periphery of the installed cover, are reinforced against deforming or stretching out of the container. The radially inner wall of the recess (60) engages the radially outer wall of the recess (34) so that outward distortion of the dome of the cover is resisted by the stiffness of both engaged walls of the recess, strengthening the thin material domed cover against deformation under pressure in the container. Specifically, there may be annular ribs (62) or other engageable deformations on walls of the recess that engage and thereby provide interference against the radially outer wall moving up out of the container upon the dome attempting to deform outwardly.
