A method for filling a printing ink reservoir with a housing (1) is disclosed, the interior of which is divided into two chambers (3, 4), by means of a metallic bellows (2), serving as a medium separator. The first chamber (3) is filled with a gas and the second chamber (4) is filed with a fluid. A bottom valve (6) is provided n a hydraulic connection (5), the closing body (7) of which may be operated by the medium separator (2), permitting a filling of the second chamber (4) with fluid and preventing a complete emptying of the second chamber (4). According to the invention, a reliable filling of the said chambers (3, 4) with the corresponding medium may be achieved without damaging the bellows (2), by means of a combination of the following method steps: a) evacuation of the second chamber, b) filling the second chamber with printing ink and c) filling the first chamber with the gas.

A hydraulic energy accumulator consisting of a housing with a space for inserting metal bellows, comprising a non-moveable end and a moveable end with a front wall arranged in a sealed manner on the bellows and separating a hydraulic pressure medium from a pressurized gas is already known per se. The advantage of using metal bellows is that they are gas-tight in so far as no leak arises over time. According to the invention, the bellows are embodied in such a way that the pressure of said bellows in the gas is reduced in comparison with the hydraulic medium as a result of the longitudinal elasticity of said bellows and a sensor system (6) is provided which indicates a longitudinal expansion of the bellows (5) when the hydraulic pressure medium flows through a leak in said bellows into the area containing the gas. The inventive hydraulic energy accumulator (2) and the sensor system (6) thereof are also capable of indicating when such a leak occurs in the bellows. The indication of a leak is also an indication that a motor vehicle braking system fitted therewith has become unsafe.

The invention relates to an electrohydraulic unit, especially for antiskid motor vehicle brake systems. The electrohydraulic unit has a hydraulic unit (2) (HCU) comprising a locating body (3) housing electrically controllable valves and a hydraulic pump, an electrically drive device (5) being provided for the pump. Said electrohydraulic unit also comprises a hydraulic fluid accumulator (4) supplied by the pump and having a media separating element (17) and a sensor device (23) including a sensor (25) for monitoring the position of the media separating element (17), in addition to an electronic unit (10) (ECU) for electronically controlling the valves and the drive device (5) and for receiving electrical signals of the sensor device (23). The invention is characterized in that the sensor device (23) is arranged in the locating body (3) or in the electronic unit (10). An electrical connection between the sensor device (23) and the electronic unit (10) extends inside the unit thereby saving space and enabling improved electrical connection.
