摘要: Power systems (10) and methods of controlling power systems (12) are disclosed. The system (10) may include a power plant system (PPS) (12) including a component (36) and at least one computing device (66) in communication with the PPS (12). The computing device(s) (66) may be configured to control the PPS (12) by performing processes including determining if an operational anomaly (124) for the component (36) occurred during operation of the PPS (12). In response to determining that the operational anomaly (124) did not occur, the computing device(s) (66) may also perform processes including determining a first operational reliability (128) of the component (36). In response to determining the operational anomaly (124) occurred, the computing device(s) (66) may also perform processes including determining a second operational reliability (128) of the component (36) based on the determined operational anomaly (124). Additionally, the computing device(s) (66) may perform processes including adjusting operation of the PPS (12) in response to the first operational reliability (128) or the second operational reliability (128) exceeding a predetermined operational reliability threshold.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a fault processing method, a related apparatus, and a computer. When it is determined that a computer crashes, a baseboard management controller in the computer can send a read request message to a processor in the computer, where the read request message is used for requesting reading of first error data recorded by the processor, receive a read response message returned by the processor, and obtain, according to the read response message, the first error data recorded by the processor. By means of the embodiments of the present invention, an operating system does not need to be used, acquisition of error data in a computer after the computer crashes is implemented using a baseboard management controller, and a problem in the prior art that error data in a computer cannot be acquired after a severe uncorrectable error occurring in the computer causes a system crash is resolved.

摘要: A method includes receiving a first progress request from a first state machine associated with execution of a first thread on a processor. The method includes updating a current state of a temporal relationship state machine based on the current state, the first progress request, and a predetermined temporal relationship between progress of the first state machine to a first state machine state and progress to a second state. The predetermined temporal relationship may require the first state machine to progress to the first state machine state before the progress to the second state. The current state of the temporal relationship state machine may be one of a first temporal relationship state and a second temporal relationship state. The second state may be a second state machine state of the first state machine. The second state may be a second state machine state of a second state machine.

摘要: A method and apparatus for detecting and mitigating faults in numerical computations of M input data streams is claimed (embodiments of FIG. 1 and FIG. 14). Such faults may occur due to circuit or processor malfunctions stemming from (but not limited to): supply voltage or current fluctuation, timing signal errors, hardware device noise, or other signalling, hardware, or software non-idealities. The invented method and apparatus for numerical entanglement linearly superimposes M input data streams to form M numerically-entangled data streams that can optionally be stored in-place of the original inputs (as in the example embodiments of: Step 2 of FIG. 1 and item 1054 of FIG. 14). A series of operations, such as (but not limited to): scaling, additions/subtractions, inner or outer vector or matrix products and permutations, can then be performed directly using these entangled data streams (as in the example embodiment of Step 3 of FIG. 1, operator g of FIG. 2, FIGS. 6-11, item 1053 of FIG. 14). The output results are disentangled from the M entangled output streams by additions and arithmetic shifts (example embodiments of Steps 4 and 5 of FIG. 1, “disentanglement and fault checking” of FIG. 2, item 1056 of FIG. 14). A post-computation reliability check detects processing errors affecting disentangled outputs (example embodiments of item 1056 of FIG. 14, FIGS. 15a, 15b, 16a, 16b, 17a, 17b).

摘要: A system is adapted to generate a configuration for a service provider system to provide a highly available (HA) service. The system first identifies type stacks that provide the HA service and one or more component types in each type stack. Each type stack is a combination of prototypes that describe features and capabilities of available software providing the HA service. The system estimates, for each component type in the type stacks, a mean-time-to-recover (MTTR) of the HA service based on time for completing an actual recovery action in response to a component failure. The system further estimates service availability provided by each type stack based on the MTTR and a mean-time-to-failure (MTTF) of each component type in the type stack. The system then eliminates one or more of the type stacks that do not satisfy a requested service availability before proceeding to subsequent steps of configuration generation.

摘要: A method includes searching a single file, which includes a plurality of device log files for one or more devices, based on a template file that at least indicates a sub-set of log data of interest, generating reference data for each of the log data of interest that is located in the single file, and storing the reference data in a data structure. A computing system (102) includes a memory (114) that stores one or more instructions (120) including a log file processing module (126), and a processor (116) that executes the one or more instructions, which causes the processor to: filter log data based on a template file that indicates streams of data of interest; dynamically change the amount of data of interest based on the debug level; store the streams of data of interest; and display, in response to an input signal, a sub-set of the stored virtual stream of data of interest.
