    摘要: The present invention proposes an operation mode control for a power amplifier of an output stage (1) for portable electronic equipment for wireless communication (50). The operation mode control comprises means (S0) for receiving a command that requests a change of the output power of power amplifier (2), means (S1, 55) for identifying a current operation mode of the power amplifier, means (S2) for determining if the power amplifier may be operated in a further operation mode different to the current operation mode for the output power requested by the command,
    means (S3, 57) for assessing the history of preceding output power requests, and means (S6, 58) for evaluating from the assessed history of preceding output power requests a trend value that indicates the likeliness of a future output power of the output stage to remain for a defined time period within a range enabling an operation of the power amplifier also in the further operation mode. The operation mode is hereby changed over from the current operation mode to the further operation mode on condition that the evaluated trend value indicates a sufficient likeliness for a future output power to remain for the defined time period within a range enabling an operation of the power amplifier in the further operation mode, and on condition that the further operation mode enables a more energy-efficient operation of the power amplifier than the current operation mode.

    摘要: To increase throughput efficiency and attain a higher achieved bit rate for data transmissions over a high speed shared channel, a variable transmit power increase factor is used to control the maximum rate at which the power at which data is transmitted over the high speed shared channel can increase. In one non-limiting implementation, the power increase factor F is varied with the current total downlink transmitted power available for high speed downlink transmission. For example, when the available high speed shared channel power is large, the variable transmit power increase factor assumes a more conservative value, e.g., a smaller F value, at the beginning of the high speed downlink transmission, and then a more liberal value, e.g., a larger F value, later during the high speed downlink transmission.

    摘要: The invention disclosed a method of power control under the multiple time slot power control pattern in the CDMA system, the method pre-stored two full '1' and full '0' symbols encoded corresponding to TPC command on the receiving end and sending end respectively, and it determined either to send original TPC command or send the encoded TPC command based on that if current TPC command were same with previously one TPC command; the sending end then determined corresponding power adjusting manner based on the coincidence relation between the combination information of N received TPC command data and said symbol encoded. The present invention used the symbol encoded instead of the full '0' and full '1' TPC command, enhanced the reliability of the TPC command, in particular, enhanced the reliability of the full '0' and full '1' TPC command, improving the performance of power control.
