Described herein is a method for making a metal matrix composite material comprising: (a) forming a metal box comprising a bottom forming plate having a length and a width, a first pair of side forming plates having a length and a height, and a second pair of side forming plates having a width and a height; (b) mixing a metal powder and a ceramic powder to prepare a mixed powder; (c) filling the metal box with the mixed powder; (d) compacting the mixed powder in the metal box to provide the metal box comprising a compacted powder preform; (e) disposing a top forming plate onto the metal box in solid abutment against the metal box comprising the compacted powder preform and sealing around its edges to produce a pre-rolling assembly; and (f) performing hot working on the pre-rolling assembly to obtain the metal matrix composite material with a metal cladding.

There are provided a rare-earth permanent magnet and a manufacturing method of a rare-earth permanent magnet capable of preventing deterioration of magnet properties. In the method, magnet material is milled into magnet powder. Next, a mixture 12 is prepared by mixing the magnet powder and a binder, and the mixture 12 is formed into a sheet-like shape to obtain a green sheet 14. Thereafter, magnetic field orientation is performed to the green sheet 14, which is then held for several hours in a non-oxidizing atmosphere at a pressure higher than normal atmospheric pressure, at 200 through 900 degrees Celsius for calcination. Thereafter, the calcined green sheet 14 is sintered at a sintering temperature. Thereby a permanent magnet 1 is manufactured.

Die Erfindung zeigt ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Rakeln aus Metall, insbesondere aus Stahl, wobei die herzustellenden Rakeln in einem Bereich (204) einer Arbeitskante eine verminderte Materialstärke aufweisen. Im Bereich verminderter Materialstärke (204) ist die Materialstärke im Wesentlichen konstant. Durch die Anwendung eines Hobelvorgangs auf einen Grundkörper (100) mit im Wesentlichen konstanter Materialstärke wird der Bereich mit verminderter Materialstärke (204) erzeugt. Durch die Erzeugung des Bereiches mit verminderter Materialstärke (204) mittels eines Hobelvorganges wird ein effizientes und kostengünstiges Verfahren zur Herstellung von Rakeln erreicht.
