A magnetic cap (10) for a medical appliance to be retained in a human body, comprises: an annular magnet (2) secured to an upper face of a connecting plug body (1); a disk like magnet (4) secured to an upper face of a lid body which is detachably coupled to the connecting body (1) through a flexible band (6); and a strap (5) attached to an end of the lid body (3). The magnets (2) and (4) are set to be 5 to 15 mm in diameter, 0.5 to 5.0 mm in thickness, and 1500 to 2000 gauss in magnetic flux density. Magnetic poles on contact faces of the magnets (2) and (4) are directed in opposition to each other.

    摘要： An antibacterial closure system (10) that encloses a connector (14) positioned on the end of a flexible conduit (12) in a procedure where a sterile connection is desired. A hollow, tubular handle member (18) is provided, comprising a pair of hinge halves (20, 22) connected by an integral hinge (24) and proportioned to close about the rear portion (26) of a connector (14). The handle member (18) is proportioned at its forward end to press against the rear annular face (30) of a shoulder (32) on the connector (14) to provide an annular seal. A tubular closure member (34) is also provided in closing relation with the handle member (18). The closure member (34) also has an inner annular seat (38) to provided an annular seal area. The closure member (34) surrounds but is spaced from the forward portion (44) of the connector (14) to provide space for an antiseptic to be provided. A cap member (52) is provided to close the top of the closure member (34) and to seal an antiseptic therein. A pinch clamp (48) is also provided to releasably clamp the bore or lumen of the tube (12).

    摘要： A breakaway medical tubing connector apparatus 10 for joining two sections of medical tubing includes a pump side member 12 and a patient side member 14 positioned axially opposite from the pump side member 12. The patient side member 12 has a first channel 26 disposed within the pump side member 12 and a first valve 20 disposed within the first channel 26. The pump side member 12 has a second channel disposed within the patient side member 14 and a second valve 22 disposed within the second channel. The fist valve 20 may be an active valve and the second valve 22 may be a passive valve. A securing bar may be disposed on the pump side member 12 and a securing arm may be disposed on the patient side member 14 for providing a detachable coupling of the two members.
